I Don't Like Hospitals

No offense to our front liners, doctors, nurses, and other hospital staffs out there, but I don't like hospitals. Hospitals remind me of sickness, medicines, blood, and most especially death. I'm not intimidated by medicines or blood like it makes me say "yucks!". But those things remind me so much of how short and fragile our life can be. One day, you're in the streets walking freely, or in a mall shopping for clothes. The next thing you know, you're in a hospital taking up medicines to extend your life.

The other day as I went to the hospital for my check-up, it made me realize about how negligent I was with my own health. Now I'm spending hella bucks for my medicine and it makes me feel regretful. It made me think:

"Damn I wouldn't be spending this much if only I was perfectly fine."

It's kinda related to my previous article about how we only start caring for our health when there's already something wrong with it. Dooooon't freak out, I'm not dying hahaha! It's just, I'm not well but I'm fine and I can manage.

Now I swore to myself that I am never going back to a hospital ever again unless the reason is something good. You can't always relate a hospital to bad things right? I mean, there are also good things that happens there like - birth, healing, wellness, and good news.

Those people you see in the hospital, each of them has their own story. You'll never know what they're all going through. That's one of the mystifying things about being in a hospital.

So I tell you, take care of your health - overall health. To be sick is costly, but to be healthy is freeing. Hopefully it's not too late for me, and for you too. Trust me, you'll save yourself a lot of penny when you're healthy and active.
