Locked In

Yeah, it's January of 2021, and I haven't posted in a while again. I think I've already mentioned before how I've never been so busier. 😄

 

After writing articles in this blog about our Quarantine guests in the past, now I exactly know what they felt like back then. Yep, you read it right, I'm under quarantine right now, and I don't get off until next month. I recently traveled outside our province for three days. Since all returning residents must undergo quarantine for 14 days, I was welcomed by the health staff when I got back.

Guess how I spend my entire day locked in? Writing. Not in this blog, of course, it's for my job. The first few days of being locked in seemed okay. I felt like I could still keep my sanity till I get out. But now, this is driving me crazy hahaha! Yeah, I'm working from home, but still, it feels different when you're all alone in a space, you know?

No wonder those quarantine guests I had in the past had always complained to me, 

"Maam makabuang maning wa tay kastorya diri oy."

"Wala pa among swab results Maam? Lami na kaayu igawas oy makamatay ning mag inusara"

"Maam ifollow up ragud among swab result bi! Di lalim ning ingani"

Those guests were right; being alone for a long time can really take a toll on your mental health. Well, I'm getting plenty of support from my family right now. They never failed to see me every day and give me food. But it's still far different from going out there and normally spending time with them. My boyfriend and I would often have video calls since we're both in quarantine hahaha! Yep, it was the 2 of us who traveled outside Bohol.

Still, nothing beats a personal connection. Plus, I miss traveling already hahaha! I swear when I get out of here with a negative result and in a healthy state, I'm going to take my family out again for a family trip. Hmmm, I miss the beach hihihi! 😄

Alright, that's all for today. I really just had to write this down to keep my sanity and take a quick break from writing for work. After all, writing has always been my breathing ground. Ciao!
