Exhilarating Experience!

This post might be a week too late, but this experience is definitely worth posting. 

Danao, Bohol (look at the freakin' fog!!)

So last week, me, Dar, my cousin, my sister, and her boyfriend went on a four-hour drive to Danao, Bohol. We went there to check out the reputable Danao Adventure Park, and we wanted to try some of their exhilarating rides. In my mind, my definite goal was to try the Plunge, but my parents keep telling me not to try it, so yeah, I didn't - YET 😂

We arrived at precisely 1:00 in the afternoon. As we reached there, unluckily, the rain caught up to us. So, we had no choice but to stay put in the park's waiting area to wait for the rain and thunder to stop. According to the receptionist in the ticketing area, they are not allowed to operate when there's lightning and thunder as it's too risky, and all the equipment they're using are cable wires (which is prone to lightning hit).

To be honest, we were actually worried that we might never do any of the rides because of the rain, but THANKFULLY, the rain and thunder stopped at 3:00 pm. So, we had like two hours left to try the rides before the park closes at 5 pm.

The first ride that we tried was the Skyride (cable car). It was still kind of raining, so we were partially wet, but still, we were thriving, hahaha! We had a lot of fun scaring each other with the heights, but overall, we enjoyed the breathtaking view, and then we took some videos (of course!).

The second ride was the Suislide (Zipline). This is my fourth time riding a zipline, but this is my first time riding a zipline here in Danao. The zipline here in Danao is wayyyy longer than the previous ones I've tried before. Dar and I rode on our zipline together as this was his first time and he was (silently) scared as a cat, hahaha!

The third and most unforgettable ride was the Giant swing. Literally, it is a giant swing. At first glance, we were all clueless about how we would ride this swing with two very tall poles. The first one to go was my sister and her boyfriend. Since all of us had no idea how this ride works, we were calmly watching my sister and her boyfriend Kyle as they strapped them with numerous cables, wires, and locks. 

Then, they were slowly pulled back and up into the air. As they were going up, my sissy and Kyle started to feel nervous because they were getting high - up to 75 ft. We even have a funny video of them talking about going down because the height became more terrifying. Finally, the operator stopped pulling them, and now it's time to drop them - LIKE LITERALLY DROP THEM.

The woman started counting - 3,2,1, Drop! And boom! My sissy was shouting at the top of her lungs while Kyle was silent HAHAHA 😂😂😂😂! According to him, he temporarily had to hold his breath due to extreme nervousness. I couldn't blame him because it was a freaking high drop.

Next up were Darwin and me. Since we now know what to expect, goddamnit, I was sweating inside my PPE attire, hahahahahha 😂! I was freaking out because I'm scared of heights, but there's no way I'm backing out now. So, the same process happened, Dar and I were slowly pulled back up to 75ft.

When we were dropped, it felt like my heart was left in the air while my body was down the ground, hahaha! Meanwhile, Dar was also having a hard time recovering from the ride because it was also unforgettable and scary. He was "singing" during the ride, but I know he's just doing that to cover up his nervousness. 😂😂😂

Overall, the best ride for all of us was the Giant swing, and we're definitely trying that again, maybe next month. But, unfortunately, it was 5:00 pm, so the Plunge was already closed, and the employees were just simply waiting for us to be done with our last ride.

As we were driving back, all of us still couldn't get over the feelings and emotions we felt with the giant swing. Even right now, while writing this article, I still remember that scary and nerve-wracking feeling of being dropped down into 75 ft. Because of this experience, it made me more determined to try the Plunge!! I feel like I'm going to regret this for the rest of my life If I never try the Plunge. 

So yeah, right now, we're planning to go back there again when our schedule allows. So if you haven't tried some extreme rides in your life before - this is a sign for you to go for it. Ciao! 💗💗
