Ten Quaranthings

As we all know, the whole world is under lock down/quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Strict policies and rules have been established by the government in order to prevent this virus from spreading rapidly across the country. People are not allowed to go out of their homes unless they have important matters to deal with outside (buy food, medicine, or for work). Other than that, we are all required to just stay at home. And by staying at home, means walang school and work muna. 

Ako I miss my job na, sauna muingon kog "Lamia mag day off ug 5 days oy!",pero karon bi, merese sindimeh hahahahaha. Aside from just staying at home, we're encouraged to be more mindful of our health and hygiene as well; by washing our hands, wearing face masks when going outside, eat healthy to strengthen our immune system, and follow the social distancing.

I understand that we might all be on the same situation but not all of us are on the same boat. Naisip ko lang maglista below ng mga Quaranthings na pwede nating gawin to cope this quarantine, this pandemic, while at the same time by being a good follower sa mga balaod sa Gobyerno diba. Dako natag natabang sa Frontliners just by following their implemented policies, para di na magkasaka pa ang positive cases sa atong country. So the list below, mga suhestyon (char lawma) lang naman eto, incase ug nahutdan namog idea ug mag-unsa mos inyuha ba hahaha.

1. Go back to your old hobbies
Idunno sa uban but ako, ever since I've been busy na with my job, and other priorities sa life, there were some hobbies that I used to do before, na parang nakaligtaan ko na. Example would be playing Sudoku, nakuuuu hilig ko ni sauna. Mupalit kog mga booklets ani sauna para answeran, and unfortunately wa nako mahurot ug answer kay ayun nga nabusy. So ever since this quarantine started, ayun, giukay nako akong old booklets para tiwason. Another old hobby I had was kani, blogging. Sauna almost everyday ko naga blog, then when life happened (😂😂😂), nahimo nang once a month gyud. So ngayun, binabalikan ko na kung unsa tong mga na missed out nakong hobbies sauna. And maybe you do have some too.

2. Have a NEW HOBBY!
Sometimes, due to this lock down, we tend to do and discover new things thru social media. Nay uban, naging new hobby na nila ang pag tiktok, naa poy uban nga new hobby na nila ang pag luto2 or invent ug recipes. Naa say uban na nawili nag ML (guilty here). Di biya ko mudulag ML hahaha nya tungod sa anu, ayun na recruit, so mao to sha 😂. Tigduwa ko pero di ko as competitive parehas uban kay intawn di ko master ana, ang akoa ra ana is malingaw. Lots of new hobbies to be discovered and whatever that is, that's good. As long as di mu involve na mugawas kas balay magwara-wara, and breaking rules, then that's good.

3. Clean, and clean, and do general cleaning, until mureflect na atong nawng sa kasinaw
Basta ako, ang una gyud nakong nahunahunaan katong nag quarantine na, is manghinlo gyud sa akong kwarto. Alangan kay sahay sa ka busy nato, makaligtaan na natog hipos2 ginagmay atong kwarto nuh kay ako, makasulod nalang gud kog kwarto kung matog na (char). Mao to ga general cleaning gyud ko ng bonggang bongga, it took me 2 and 1/2 days to totally clean my room and have a make over sad. Malingaw sad ka manghinlo man kay naa kay mga maukay na mga pasts nimo, like mga notebook nimo pag high school sauna nya akong penmanship ato kay totyo 😂. 

Mao raba jud nay makalangan, kanang makaukay ta then tua ga hiling2 na dayun lol. After sa akong kwarto, gisunod nako ang kwarto sa akong gwapa nga manghod. Utro pod tong bataa 😂. Kugihan kayu to bataa mag tuon, or maggama projects as in naning kaayu, na sahay di na niya ma prioritize ug hinlo iya kwarto, maong ending arang gubuta. Gitabangan nako siya kay pati siya naglibog ug asa kuno sya magsugod ug hinlo looya. So ayun after 1 day, squickie cleaaaan na. And then after sa among rooms, syempre ang tibook balay na gud noh, which is done daily. Kay daily man pod sya mabuling bi.

4. Read, Learn, Reflect
Read books, read newspapers, read articles, lami ng updated ta kanunay sa mga balita sa world. Dili ng makibalita sa mga libak sa silingan, lahi napod ron hahahaha. Ako, I read, but for now ni pause sa kog basa ug novels, kay usa ra ka libro akong gi focus gyud ron which is the Bible. I started reading the Bible, bag-o lang, last February. I was encouraged by a friend to read it, so nagsugod gyud kos kinaunhan, sa Genesis, kay gusto ko makasabot sa flow sa events sa Bible, and at the same time, I want to cultivate my relationship with God. This quarantine is really a great opportunity para mubalik ta Niya.

5.  Workout or Play Sports
I've seen a lot of my Facebook friends working out, nindot kaayu panlantawon ilang mga Myday gyud. Pero idunno wala mn ko nakasundog man pod, tapulana gyud tali nako hahahaha. Pero sa sports ko nag focus which is basketball, hehehe naa man mi basketball ring diri bi so makaduwa ra mi.It would be me, my siblings and my cousins na magduwa every hapon. It's funny cause the last time nga natapok ming mag-ig agawa para magduwa was when all of us were students. 

Since me and Luzve had our jobs, and then Junjun and Jaenine were in college, wa na gyud magkatugma tugma among mga schedule. Nay sahay di nagud mi manggiabot kay ang isa pagawas sa gate, ang isa mao pay pag uli, pag out, ang isa tua sa syudad. Ingana - LIFE. As in nagkaduwa lang gyud mi balik karon na quarantine na. So people of the Earth, get sweaty and do squats or dribble a ball. 😉

6. Do something new, or learn something new
Akong sample ani sa akong side, nag gardening ko. Aw di siya gardening diay kay ga seedling pa man ko, nananom pako. Akong gitanom kay Talong, because favorite sud-an gyud nako ng Tortang Talong. It was my boyfriend Darwin who encouraged me to engage on planting and gardening. Pero siya gyud, as in nakabuo gyud syag garden, and daghan na syag tinanom 😍. 

Ako kay Talong raman hahahah, but it's good that I did something new, something that I don't normally do. And iyang result puhon won't be temporary kay ang iyang mga bunga, gamit kaayu. Another example is learn a new recipe. Para sa mga gusto maka learn ug new dish to cook, go, this is the perfect time to do it and sway your hips in the kitchen to cook.
 
7. Reconnect with your family, friends
This quarantine is also a perfect time to reconnect with our friends and family. Syempre karon pa gud ta magkahitapok tanan sa atong mga balay with our siblings and parents nga kanang naa gyud tanan. Kami diri sa balay, salamat sa Ginoo kay this quarantine was our time para mag abot gyud mi tanan ug magka bonding, we either play cards, or simply talk and chika and make fun of each other. 

Napul-an namig pinisbok oi maong karon mas malingaw nami magsige ug tabi ug storya kay daghan pang topic. Don't forget also to reconnect with our friends thru social media. Video call will do, kay saon taman di pa man gyud ta kalaag with our friends. 

8. Play with your pet/pets, if walay pets, himoang pet tong mga manok sa imong Tatay
Lucky are those naay mga pets sa ilaha, it can be dogs, cats, love birds, kanang mga tuko sa inyo, or snakes ba kaha HAHAHHA, or mga manok ni Tatay pwede naman gud na. Perfect time sad ni para magka quality time sad mo with your pets. If you're feeling lonely, go cuddle with them (idunno if ma cuddle ng manok, i guess so).  

Go play with them, paliguan nyo na rin. Bisag kanang sa mga manok, this is a good time to help your fathers in taking care of them. Not necessarily na magtuon kag panabong hahahaha, i mean sa part lang na maglawg ka nila, and give vitamins ganern. Pets are members of the family naman diba 💙.

9. Sleep
Ako valid akong reason magbilar nohhhh kay naa man koy sideline na pang gabie trabahuon. Pero sa kanang UBAAAN dihaaa bitaw hahahahah please don't deprive yourself of sleep. Lisod kayu ng mata na gani mos buntag, galurat sad mo nig gabie, grabi bilib kos inyong immortality guys 😂 Pero if peg na gyud ninyo magmata nig gabie then that's fine, basta kay bawi lang mo nig ka buntag. Makagabok ug immune system ng kulang sa tulog biya, and these days, we need our immune system to be on its best. 
 
10. Pray.
I can really say na during this pandemic, our prayers is really needed. Di nato kalimtan na ipag pray atong mga modern day heroes, our Frontliners, nga maoy naa sa gawas, nag sakripisyo ug palayo sa ilang family, para magserve sa bayan natin, ug mutabang na ifight ning virus. Let's also pray for those people na maoy gravely affected aning lock down, who temporarily have no jobs, walay source of income, therefore galisod on how they would survive, where would they get money to buy food. 

Let's also pray for those affected by the virus itself, na hold on lang mo. Gagaling kayo, Pray and tiwala lang ni God and tiwala din sa doctors nato. Let's also pray na our doctors can finally discover a vaccine for this virus. Also,ipag pray sad nato atong government, ipag pray nato atong President, na  di niya tayo susukuan, and that he won't lose courage and won't stop protecting our country. I know na he is doing the best that he could. And for those who are so blessed na bisag lock down, kay sakto mog pagkaon, and at the same time healthy inyong family, then pray. Pray and be thankful, and together let's pray for the healing of the world.

This quarantine really taught me a lot, not just about what I can now do, but it taught me how to give more value, to the more essential things in life. Maka realize jud ta na at the end of the day, what really matters is our health, our family, our Earth and our relationship with God.
