Twin Names

It's pretty obvious that my name is definitely not unique 😂😂 Wherever I go, there will always be atleast 1 or 2 persons who got the same name as me, it may be in school or at work or whichever town I go. That's why I really love it everytime some of my friends call me "Cidra" because aside that I love that name, it kinda sounds vintage and at the same time, my mama says that was suppose to be my birth name but they changed it last minute because they thought I wouldn't like it in the future. Well mama, if only infants can speak, I would've told you to go ahead with the latter hahaha!

Anyways, yesterday we went to the mall to buy a birthday cake. I made reservations and reserved it under my name "Cindy" since we still had other errands and will just claim it later once we're done with everything. Forty-five minutes later, we went back and got in line to claim the cake. I went to the cashier and presented my receipt with my name on it, then she told me to wait as she'll get it ready for me.

As I was waiting, there's also another woman beside me whose waiting to be called. A couple minutes later, the cashier brought out 2 cakes with her then she called, "Ma'am Cindy?" I stood up, then went to her and gave my receipt. Unexpectedly, the other woman next to me also stood up and handed out her receipt. The cashier already got my receipt and showed me the cake for approval if they wrote the correct birthday greetings for me. But the woman beside me then said, "Diba nitawag mog Cindy? Cindy diba to?" I was confused for a minute there, so I took a peak at her claim stub and saw that her name also happens to be Cindy. 

Feeling amused, I told her, "Luhh pareha diay tag name miss, Cindy sad ko." Guess how did she responded? She literally rolled her eyes at me and blurted out "Tsssk!" while returning back to her seat. I was stunned at how annoyed she was that her name was called yet it wasn't meant for her. Still amused, in my mind I was like, "Oppss sarrey miss, we both didn't mean to buy the cake at the same time, at the same day, in the same shop, and reserved it under the same name 😂😂"

Although it's okay Miss Cindy (not me), maybe you just had a rough day or maybe you were in a hurry, or maybe this had happen to you alot, well me either. I guess we both have to embrace the fact that our name is very common around the globe and this may not be the last time that it'll happen hahaha! Anyways, have a good one and ciao!
